About Us

HUHESO FOUNDATION is a non Profit Organization based in Tanzania Mainland was legally registered under Societies Act cap. 337 [R.E. 2002] with registration No S.A. 16535 on 24 July 2009. HUHESO Foundation is currently re-registered as The Foundation for Human Health and Social Development (HUHESO Foundation) due to re-registration conducted in 16th of May 2016 for NGO act No 24 of 2002 with registration number 00NGO08602. The re-registration is due to instructions of the government of the United Republic of Tanzania that all NGOs should be under NGO act at the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC).

The primary goal is to lead disadvantaged groups into development process in Tanzania and play constructive role in uniting their efforts and potentialities in society. HUHESO-FOUNDATION strives to promote dignity, equitable access to social services and resources for development and enhance Children, Youth and Women. HUHESO-FOUNDATION ensures sustainable behavioral change, HIV/AIDS and CANCER Prevention programs and promotes Children, Youth, and disabled people against HIV/AIDS. We also endeavor to ensure friendly services, confidential and quality delivery of health services in accordance with the ethics and principles.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR


There shall be a Board of Directors which shall have not less than 5 members, who will be appointed by the general meeting. The chairperson of the Board shall be elected by the General Meeting while the vice chairperson of the Board will originate, selected and approved by the Board members themselves. The Board will conduct quarterly meeting in the year. However it may have an emergency meeting when the needs arise. The quorum of the Board meeting shall be 1/2 of the members. The office tenure of the board will be two years and they may be eligible for re- appointment for one more term only.

FUNCTION OF BOARD


Oversee the activities of the organization and make decisions in relation to the policies Make regulation for the proper management of the personnel and administration facilities. Deliberate all major statements made on behalf of the organization. Appoint organization staff and determine their terms and condition. Appoint the vice chairperson of the Board and implement other duties as proposed the GM. Appoint external auditor.
